At the start of the year, Alois Dallmayr Automaten-Service GmbH acquired Werthmann Verkaufsautomaten GmbH, based in Kempten, Allgäu. The wholly owned subsidiary of Alois Dallmayr KG in Munich is thus expanding its presence in southern Germany.

He said the aim of the company's acquisition was to further refine the company's close-knit service network and shorten response times. Dallmayr is now represented in the Upper Swabia-Allgäu region with its headquarters in Friolzheim near Stuttgart and branches in Ravensburg, Neu-Ulm and now Kempten.

The acquisition of Werthmann Verkaufsautomaten GmbH in Kempten has increased the size of Automaten-Service GmbH to almost 400 employees. All 30 Werthmann employees are to be integrated into Dallmayr in order to maintain the service in full and to continue to look after all of Werthmann's existing customers with around 900 vending machines as usual and to switch to Dallmayr in the course of the year. "At the same time, we will be able to serve our existing Dallmayr customers in the Kempten region even more effectively," Andreas Prestel, Managing Director of Alois Dallmayr Automaten-Service GmbH, comments on the takeover.

In order to further expand the Kempten location in line with the increasing demand in the Allgäu region, the company is currently looking for a suitable property, Prestel adds: "We have not only expanded our premises at our Ravensburg location, but have also gained many new employees and great new customers. And we want to keep it that way in the future. I have great respect for our employees, who now number around 400, and for what they achieve every day. They are our greatest asset!"
