In a recently posted tweet, Burger King UK calls on its fans to order from McDonald's, Subway, KFC and other chains.
Unusual times require unusual measures. "We never thought we'd be asking you to do this," says Burger King UK's Twitter post published on Monday, "but restaurants employing thousands of staff really need your support at the moment."
The call to also support the competition (or rather "sister food chains") with delivery, take-away or drive-thru orders comes against the backdrop of the imminent nationwide lockdown announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The strict regulations include the closure of all pubs, bars and restaurants from 5 November.
We know, we never thought we’d be saying this either. pic.twitter.com/cVRMSLSDq6
