Once a year, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Verbraucherstudien (German Society for Consumer Studies) determines the best service providers in this country. Other categories are customer service and value for money.
In all three categories of the customer survey in the canteen operator segment, the major contract caterers Aramark, Compass Group and SV (Germany) are in the top 5, with the Mannheim-based company Genuss & Harmonie making it into the top 5 twice: 4th place in terms of customer satisfaction and customer service. The Wiesbaden company Consortium is ranked 5th for customer service.
Traditionally, the survey reveals large differences between companies and sectors. The best rated companies achieve a customer satisfaction score of 8.4 out of 10 possible points. The worst ones had to accept a score of 4.9 points.
At the top of the cross-industry customer champions in 2020 is online mail-order giant Amazon with a 1st place in customer satisfaction and customer service - as was most recently the case in 2018. 1st place in price/performance is defended by the drugstore chain dm. In terms of customer satisfaction, dm ranks second behind Amazon and ahead of Miele's customer service. Juwelier Welpe takes second place in customer service.
