Pub operators in Great Britain are longing for the end of the lockdown in mid-April. Industry representatives are pleading for the indoor areas to be allowed to be used again then. According to government strategy, it's not their turn until mid-May.
It could destroy upt to 30,000 hospitality venues if the government does not stick to its current opening strategy, UK Hospitality has warned. With 42 closures a day, the rate of pubs, restaurants and bars giving up this year is up significantly from 30 in 2020, it said.
