The brochures are now also available in English.

They are now also available in English: the DGE quality standards for catering in daycare centers, schools, companies, clinics, as well as with "meals on wheels" and in senior citizen facilities. This was announced by the German Nutrition Society (DGE) in Bonn.

As a measure of relationship prevention, the implementation of the DGE quality standards contributes to the creation of fair nutritional environments. The Food Environment Policy Index (Food-EPI) recently identified them as a promising measure for reforming German nutrition policy.

In general, the DGE quality standards support those responsible in community catering to design a health-promoting and sustainable catering offer. Scientifically founded and at the same time practical, the listed criteria describe an optimal catering situation, which each facility or each food provider can approach step by step and at their own pace. Thus the DGE quality standards are an instrument for the development of catering quality and at the same time basis of the DGE certification, communicates the DGE.

The English versions of the DGE quality standards can give professionals worldwide suggestions for the design of sustainable catering and serve as a model. The following titles are available and can be downloaded free of charge from the websites of the five living environments and the DGE:

- DGE Quality Standard for Meals in Daycare Centers
- DGE Quality Standard for Meals in Schools
- DGE Quality Standard for Meals in Companies
- DGE Quality Standard for Meals in Clinics
- DGE Quality Standard for Catering with "Meals on Wheels" and in Residential Homes for the Elderly
