The international industry event and think tank European Foodservice Summit (EFSS) 2021 will take place on 7 and 8 October at the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute in Rüschlikon, Zurich. Clive Schlee has been at the helm of leading global foodservice companies. In an interview with Mario C. Bauer, the current Chairman of Itsu gives an insight into his successful leadership style - especially in Corona times.

Clive Schlee spent the first 17 years of his career in Hong Kong, Australia and the US, working for Hong Kong-based conglomerate Jardine Matheson. He returned to London in 1997 and joined Julian Metcalfe to develop Itsu, before serving as CEO of Pret A Manger from 2003 to 2019. Pret grew rapidly during this time and was sold to Bridgepoint Capital in 2008 and JAB Holdings in 2018. Clive is currently Chairman of Itsu, Psycle and the Seckford Foundation.

He has a degree in modern history from Oxford University.
