The international industry event and think tank European Foodservice Summit (EFSS) 2021 will take place on 7 and 8 October at the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute in Rüschlikon, Zurich. The last lecture of the congress will be given by former German Foreign Minister and Vice Chancellor Joschka Fischer.
The Green politician Joschka Fischer was Vice Chancellor and first Green Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany in Gerhard Schröder's government from 1998 to 2005. During his career, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Haifa in 2002, among other honours. He was also awarded the Leo Baeck Medal in 2009 for his work in defusing the Middle East conflict. From 2006 to 2007, Fischer was a visiting professor at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.
