On January 1, 2022, the new Fairmont Windsor Park will celebrate its grand opening. Situated on the edge of the 4800-acre Windsor Great Park with its historic monuments and ancient woodlands, the elegant country estate is a traveller's retreat - just an hour's drive from London.
The property has 200 rooms and suites, including the Royal Suite with its own private entrance and access to a private wing in the spa and wellness area. The hotel has 15 meeting rooms, including an 800 sq m column-free ballroom, and spa and wellness facilities spanning 2,500 sq m.
The hotel is set amidst 40 acres of landscaped gardens in close proximity to Windsor Great Park and Savill Garden. It will have a strong focus on wellness and offer a diverse range of food and beverage options including a tea lounge, speciality restaurant, champagne bar, gin bar, library lounge, wellness café and an all-day dining restaurant. The Fairmont Windsor Park is owned by the Arora Group and operated in partnership with Accor and its Fairmont brand.
"We wanted to create a sanctuary for those looking to escape the stresses of modern life, while also providing an intimate space for families, friends and couples to reconnect after another challenging year," said Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of Arora Group. "We can't wait to welcome guests from around the world who look forward to traveling again and enjoying our hospitality."
Following the farm-to-table concept, 1215 Restaurant serves authentic British specialities using only local produce from The Royal Farms, Windsor manufactures and the hotel's own gardens. The 1215 Bar, adjacent to the 1215 Restaurant, serves a blend of fine sparkling wines and champagnes, complemented by an extensive wine list. At Moreish, guests enjoy breakfast and lunch dishes with a twist during the day and European and Middle Eastern fusion dishes in the evening. All dishes there are prepared in an open show kitchen, creating an inviting atmosphere for social gatherings with friends and family.
There is also Schroders' Botanicals Bar: with a wide selection of local and international gins, guests will experience new flavours and have the opportunity to take cocktail classes led by in-house mixologists. In the Orchid Tea Room, guests can enjoy a regal afternoon tea and sample handcrafted creations from the expert pâtisserie and chocolatier team alongside a premium tea selection and fine champagne. The Library Club features original elements of the former manor house, such as the Renaissance-style fireplace. As such, this lounge provides an ideal setting for meetings and private events and serves as a gathering place in the evenings, offering cocktails, fine wines, whiskies, brandies and cold drinks.
The Greens Café is located in the Spa&Wellness area and offers a wide selection of freshly prepared salads and snacks, as well as the option of having a customized menu prepared by the hotel's own wellness chef.
The 15 modern meeting rooms in a dedicated wing of the hotel have been designed to encourage reflection, discussion and enjoyment. With views of the surrounding countryside and direct access to the hotel's manicured gardens, the largest ground floor function room with private terrace is perfect for elegant weddings. The hotel will also host an 800-square-foot, column-free ballroom for events of up to 700 guests, an ideal setting for celebrations that were postponed last year.
