What are the factors consumers worry most about when coming back to restaurants?
Safety, social distance, and hygiene are the factors consumers worry most about when coming back to restaurants: Across the European countries, an overwhelming 75% agreed in a sentiment survey run in the middle of May that ‘good hygiene at restaurants will be more important’ to them. 72% ‘prefer restaurants that apply strict rules to prevent contagion’. And 67% will ‘prefer restaurants that can guarantee social distance’. Whilst in most countries, consumers see this in a similar fashion, there are different levels of concern by age and gender: no surprise that the older consumers are, the more they worry about safety and hygiene. Men see it a bit more relaxed compared to women.
