The Gustoso Group has opened its new restaurant Food Lounge in Munich. The special thing about it: The Food Lounge Parkstadt Schwabing combines the three Gustoso concepts Cotidiano, Ruff's Burger as well as Ciao Bella under one roof for the first time.

So far, there is already a Food Lounge in Hamburg Bergedorf, but it only combines the two brands Ruff's Burger and Ciao Bella. In the Food Lounge Parkstadt Schwabing up to 240 guests can have breakfast all day long or choose according to their taste between vitamin-rich soul food, handmade burgers as well as dishes of Italian cuisine. The restaurant's organic certification is also new: The Food Lounge Parkstadt Schwabing also relies on organic quality for a large number of ingredients.

The managing director of the operating company of the Food Lounge Parkstadt Schwabing, Joachim Nagl, has already been successfully running Ruff's Burger in the Therme Erding for several years and is now looking forward to the challenge: "The Food Lounge is particularly exciting for me because it combines three different concepts," explains the restaurateur, "whoever wants everything, and preferably all at once, is in exactly the right place here. With the restaurant, I want to create a new 'happy place' where guests can relax and linger comfortably alone as well as in a large group."

From breakfast to pasta

The Parkstadt Schwabing food lounge is open every weekday from 8am to 10pm. The menu features breakfast classics and bowls from Cotidiano, burgers and fries from Ruff's Burger, as well as pasta dishes and pizza from Ciao Bella.

Although the Food Lounge is designed primarily as a full-service restaurant with a lounge ambiance, it offers complementary other service models and great flexibility in ordering. To make everyday life as easy as possible for guests, quick-service elements are used at highly frequented times of day such as the lunch break, for example. Thanks to a high degree of digitalization in guest contact, it will soon be possible to pre-order and pick up all dishes, for example.

Three areas for all situations

Visually, the 435-square-meter restaurant, which is dominated by light colors and natural materials, is divided into three areas: A visually separated area, which is well suited for working meetings, is adjoined by an area with high benches and chairs, which are especially popular for a quick lunch. The main area of the restaurant is equipped with tables for different sized groups of guests. In total, the indoor area can seat up to 160 guests. Outside, a nearly 150-square-meter patio seats another 80.

The Food Lounge is one of the Gustoso Group's future projects. In the medium term, it is intended to occupy larger areas of 300 square meters or more in city centers, city district locations, but also freestanders. Depending on the location and target group, franchise partners can offer two or three of the group's concepts as full-service or quick-service restaurants, or a combination of both, in one space.

The Gustoso Group was founded in Munich in 2015. According to its own information, the three brands Cotidiano, Ruff's Burger and Ciao Bella can boast above-average market growth: The number of stores increased from eight locations in 2015 to more than 75 in the meantime due to the opening of own and joint venture operations, franchise partnerships and the integration of acquisitions and investments . Gustoso also integrates local brands into its portfolio under their established names: since the end of 2020, for example, the Hamburg brand Otto 's Burger has expanded the group's store network in northern Germany. According to the foodservice top 100 ranking, system-wide sales in 2020 were 27.8 million euros.
