Internorga has to announce a cancellation the second time in 2020.

Internorga, one of Germany's most important trade fair in the hospitality industry, will not be held next year. Actually, the popular trade fair was scheduled from 12 to 16 March 2021. However, recently more and more renowned exhibitors have cancelled their participation.

Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH actually wanted to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Internorga next year and were probably hoping for a miracle. Now the management team around Bernd Aufderheide has was forced with a heavy heart to cancel Internorga 2021 for good

With this decision, the industry and exhibitors now have at least planning security for the first quarter of 2021. Due to the increasing spread of the corona virus COVID-19, other important trade fairs such as Biofach have already announced that they will only be held virtually.

Option of a digital trade fair is being considered

Hamburg Messe und Congress states: "We are currently intensively examining the sense and feasibility of a digital Internorga, which offers us all the opportunity for personal exchange and the discovery of new trends and innovations, even under the current circumstances."

"We are very pleased about your ideas, wishes and requirements for a digital event. Please let us know." The more than 1,300 exhibitors were informed in advance, following a press release. The new date is March 18 to 22 2022.
