Bernd Aufderheide, Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe und Congress GmbH Hamburg, together with his team, made a very wise decision with the trade show's Verschieden.
Internorga was actually scheduled to take place in March. Now those responsible have decided to postpone the start of the trade show until April 30. The industry's leading trade fair will then be held in Hamburg until May 4.
The Foodservice Forum, which the dfv Mediengruppe is staging together with the trade show for the 40th time, will also be relocated and traditionally forms the day before the start of the trade show - it
will take place on April 29
at the Hamburg exhibition center. The Community Catering Industry Day will be moved to Tuesday, May 3, 2022
The rapid course of the fourth Corona wave with daily new reported highs of the infection occurrence, permits at present simply no reliable prognosis whether at the originally planned date in the middle of March
witha calming of the situation
is to be expected.
Instead, further challenging weeks are in prospect, combined with increased sickness levels in all areas of
social life. For these reasons, Hamburg Messe und Congress, together with the Internorgabeirat, has taken the decision to postpone the 2022 trade fair to a later date.
The new period of implementation of Internorga is from Saturday, April 30 to Wednesday May 4, 2022, in the Hamburg exhibition halls. The International Foodservice Forum will be held at CCH on April 29. The new Community Catering Industry Day will be held on May 3, 2022, 9 am - 4 pm.
"We are aware of the increasing uncertainty of the last 14 days among all players and take it seriously. However, the industry's need to finally meet and exchange ideas in person again is
also very great
. In this respect, we are pleased to be able to offer this alternative date. By postponing Internorga, we want to give our exhibitors the greatest possible planning security and save them costs. And we also want our visitors to walk through our trade fair gates at the end of April with a good feeling," explains Bernd Aufderheide, Chairman of the Executive Board,
Hamburg Messe und Congress.
