This is what the reusable packaging alternatives of Germany's foodservice market leader McDonald's look like.
Since the end of December 2022, diners at McDonald's 1,450 restaurants in Germany have been able to order all cold and hot beverages, as well as ice cream varieties, both in-store and out-of-store in reusable containers, the market leader said in response to a request from FOOD SERVICE. This includes orders placed at McDrive, McDelivery and Satellites, the brands' mini-store formats. For nearly two years, McDonald's worked with long-standing partner companies to develop its own reusable deposit system.
