At the end of April, THE plant-based food event will take place on an international platform: For the New Food Conference, the nutrition organization ProVeg brings together more than 50 international experts for lectures and discourse on meat and dairy alternatives, consumer desires and the potential of the current veggie boom.

Whether a food start-up or an established company, whether a producer, retailer, restaurateur or supplier: Today, no one in the food industry can ignore the plant-based megatrend. Supported by Rügenwalder Mühle, Simply V and Döhler, the top-class trade event invites the Who's Who of the industry for the first time to a purely digital exchange on 28 and 29 April 2021.

Under it's motto "Re-Thinking the Food Industry", industry representatives and nutrition experts will jointly seek answers to the questions: What do consumers really want? Where do the ingredients for tomorrow's food come from? Which products will make it onto supermarket shelves? And what do investors look out for?

A closer look at potentials

The entire value chain, political framework conditions and financing will be highlighted. Exciting lectures and discussions involve experts from industry, trade, politics and science. More than 20 promising start-ups and experts will present themselves in virtual rooms. Among others, the CEOs Caroline Zimmer of Simply V and Josh Tetrick of Just Eat, as well as Rosie Wardle (Synthesis Capital), Nicolas Dhers (Carrefour), Cecilia McAleavey (Oatly).

The New Food Conference at the end of April will also focus on digital networking with participants and speakers via video meetings. In the virtual space, first-hand insights from successful thought leaders, pioneers meet the latest trends in plant-based business and fast followers.

The presentations include:
  • Food services in 2021: from post-covid survival to plant-based innovation
  • What consumers want and how the plant-based market develops
  • Public canteens in trasition: the role of public catering in advancing plant-based eating
