Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) continues its growth trajectory in the premium lifestyle sector with the opening of the Radisson Collection Hotel in Venice, adding an exceptional architectural gem to its brand portfolio.

Located in the historic heart of Venice, on the Cannaregio Canal, the Radisson Collection Hotel Palazzo Nani Venice has opened its doors. Built in the 16th century, the hotel was the residence of the Nani family, an ancient, influential Venetian family that played a major role in shaping the social, political and cultural life of the city at the time.

Archaeological find during renovation

The building, which is listed as a historical monument, was extensively rebuilt, renovated and modernised over a period of 22 months under the direction of the architectural firm Studio Marco Piva. The aim of the work was to preserve the original ornaments and architectural elements of the façade and interiors. Particular attention was also paid to the restoration of the historic stuccoes and paintings on the walls and ceilings. The historical significance of the place where the palazzo was built was revealed during the renovation work. Parts of a Roman floor were found, which the Italian authorities have registered as an archaeological find.

The Radisson Collection Hotel, Palazzo Nani Venice offers 52 Venetian-style rooms and suites, as well as private meeting and event space for up to 80 people. The Zoja Wine Bar & Terrace serves traditional Venetian food, wine and cocktails. In addition, the Palazzo has a small garden within view of the Cannaregio Canal and a fitness center.
