The luxurious boutique hotel has been built in a historic Zurich Art Deco building that was previously home to the Sheraton Zurich Neues Schloss. The new hotel is also a member of the Autograph Collection.
Even from the outside, the Neues Schloss Privat Hotel Zürich, Autograph Collection is unmistakable. The modernist building in the Art Deco style stands out with its striking rounded edges and balconies, as well as a straight-lined, no-frills stone façade. These features of roundness and straight lines were transferred to the interior of the hotel by the renowned interior design firm Carbone Design (Appenzell-Ausserrhoden) in the course of the complete renovation and redesign.
The concept is based on the hotel's early years in the 1930s, the heyday of the Bauhaus era, and its later uses. All 57 guest rooms and suites, the restaurant, the meeting room and public areas such as the lounge have been completely redesigned and have been given a new, high-quality interior design. Dark oak wood, soft leather, coordinated lighting, modern textiles and unique artwork characterize the new room design. "Art is a big priority throughout the hotel, and each room holds its own carefully curated artwork," points out Mauro Cerutti, General Manager of the hotel.
The Autograph Collection Hotels brand bundles more than 220 luxurious, hand-picked lifestyle hotels in the world's most beautiful locations in nearly 30 countries. The hotels were selected for their distinctive character and remarkable special features: Each of them embodies the very personal vision of its founder. This is expressed in exceptional design and stay experience as well as in the role the hotel plays in the respective region.
Autograph Collection hotels participate in Marriott International's rewards program, Marriott Bonvoy. The program offers members an exceptional portfolio of global brands, unique experiences with Marriott Bonvoy Moments and unparalleled benefits; points earned can be redeemed for unique rewards such as free nights and stays.
The hallmark of Neues Schloss Privat Hotel Zürich is its unconventional concierge service. No matter if it is the first visit to Zurich or if the guests are looking for insider tips off the beaten track: Mr*s Castellan surprises guests with unusual recommendations away from the mainstream.
The former Sheraton Zurich Neues Schloss Hotel will be operated under the Autograph Collection brand, which is a perfect fit for the tradition-rich hotel property, once the modernization is completed. The tenant of the hotel property and investor in the renovation is Arabella Hospitality, while management will continue to be in the hands of Marriott International.
