The British sandwich and coffee chain Pret A Manger will open its first shop in Frankfurt. The new shop marks another step in Pret’s ambitious growth plans to double the size of its business through expansion into new regions and countries across the globe.
The first Frankfurt Pret shop will open this spring in Frankfurt’s famous “Fressgass”, in the heart of the city centre, creating 40 new jobs. New partner for the start in Germany’s financial capital Frankfurt is the local Shaffi Group.
Like in every other Pret shop, Pret’s Team Members will prepare the menu every day in the shop’s kitchen, using fresh and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Unsold food will be donated to local charities at the end of every day.
The Frankfurt menu includes Pret’s favourite sandwiches such as Classic Super Club with chicken breast, smoked bacon and fresh tomatoes, a large variety of baguettes such as the vegan Avo, Olives & Toms, and the bestselling Chicken Caesar Bacon Baguette. It will also include wraps, soups, and freshly made salads like Wild Crayfish & Avocado or the Smoked Salmon Protein Box with fresh avocado and free-range eggs.
The breakfast and afternoon menus will offer freshly baked pastries, savoury hot croissants, yoghurt and fruit pots, smoothies, and a wide range of refreshing drinks. Pret treats, such as cookies, muffins, and bars will also feature to pair with Barista-made organic coffees and teas served hot or over-ice with organic milk or organic milk alternatives.
The new Pret shop will open in the city centre, on the well-known “Fressgass”, within the commercial and financial heart of Frankfurt, home to national and international banks and financial institutions. The shop will offer more than 60 seats inside plus another 40 outside on the terrace and will be trading 7 days a week from early morning hours until 21:00.

Bringing Pret A Manger to more German customers is also exciting as we know their appetite for fresh and healthy food. I can promise that, together with Shaffi Group, we will give them the best of Pret.”

Our family cultured approach and values combined with our service-oriented operations is the basis for our success within the German QSR industry. We are looking forward to joining our approach with Pret’s remarkable product range of freshly made food, their high-quality ingredients, as well as the aromatic organic coffee as they made me fall in love with the brand years ago. We are looking forward to a long-term partnership with Pret A Manger, Stéphane Klein and his team, and can’t wait to bring the Pret joy, homemade sandwiches and coffees to our guests and our wonderful team in Frankfurt.”
