After more than 65 years on the market, McDonald's is now rewarding loyal guests across the US with MyMcDonald's Rewards starting July 8. For every dollar spent, guests will earn 100 points, which will be collected using the company's own app.
Points are redeemed in four levels, each with four different items from the assortment. McDonald's shows in a table that from 1,500 points, for example, there is a soft ice cream or a cheeseburger. At 3,000 points, tier two, diners can choose from a large iced coffee or a medium portion of fries, among other items. Level three starts at 4,500 with items like Filet-O-Fish or a McMuffin. Guests can get a Big Mac or a Happy Meal in tier 4, which starts at 6,000 points. Excluded from the loyalty program are orders via delivery service.
In order to reach as many participants as possible, McDonald's is donating 1,500 points with the first order until the end of this year, which in turn can be redeemed for a McChicken or a cheeseburger, for example, during the next ordering process. The customer loyalty system was previously tested for several months in some regions of the USA.
