Core business under new management

Yvonne Wicki Macus will become Managing Director of SV Group's Community Catering division on 1 May 2021. She will hand over her previous Group Management function as Chief Marketing Officer to Stephanie Naegeli, who will add the new responsibilities to her role as Chief Strategic Business Development Officer.

Employee restaurants, canteens and care operations are the core business of SV Group, market leader in Switzerland in the community catering segment with estimated net sales of 516 million Swiss francs in 2019 (€ 468.44 million). The new head, Yvonne Wicki Macus, has broad experience in strategy development, leading large sales organisations and complex sales projects, and marketing. "Yvonne Wicki knows the success factors of an excellent customer and consumer experience and is therefore the ideal person for this challenging position," emphasizes CEO Patrick Camele.

Exploiting the opportunities of the new market environment

In the pandemic-related change in market conditions, SV Group has used the last few months to strategically reposition itself, become leaner and more efficient, and anticipate the demands of the post-Covid market with new offerings. "Yvonne Wicki has been instrumental in shaping the new strategic direction. The task now is to implement and continuously develop the strategy," says Patrick Camele. She will make the most of the opportunities offered by the new market environment and brings with her the necessary long-term vision.

Yvonne Wicki Macus: "I am delighted to now lead the core business into the future in what is currently a very challenging and exciting market environment." She started in 2016 as Head of Strategy Projects and after a short time was appointed Director Customer Management and Sales Community Catering as well as Member of the Executive Board SV Switzerland. Since April 2020, she has been a member of the SV Group Executive Board as Chief Marketing Officer.

Before joining SV Group, Yvonne Wicki Macus spent around nine years in various roles at Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland. As Head of the Out-of-Home Consumption Business Unit, she gained broad experience in gastronomy and vending. The new manager received her doctorate in Strategic Corporate Management from the University of St. Gallen in 2003.

Synergies between strategic business development and marketing

Stephanie Naegeli, Chief Strategic Business Development Officer of the SV Group, takes over from Wicki Macus in the additional role of Chief Marketing Officer. Since joining SV Group at the beginning of 2019, she has built up the Strategic Business Development (SBD) division, provided important impetus to the core business and, thanks to her know-how and experience in the consumer goods sector, driven innovation in the area of e-commerce.
