The cooperative ZFV-Unternehmungen, which is active throughout Switzerland, is taking over Kimi Krippen AG and Tacadis AG with immediate effect. With this acquisition, the Swiss caterer ZFV intends to open up the childcare and catering sector in one fell swoop. There are numerous points of contact with the existing business areas of catering and accommodation, according to the company's argumentation.

Kimi Krippen AG is one of the largest childcare companies in Switzerland. The caterer Tacadis AG specialises in children's meals. Now, according to its own information, the ZFV-Unternehmungen cooperative has acquired all shares in both companies with immediate effect. The acquisition had already been decided at the beginning of last year. ZFV's strategy focuses, among other things, on the business potential arising from people's desire to eat on the go, healthy meals in a local context - a trend now accelerated by the Corona crisis.

Advance into growing market

More than 30 daycare centers, after-school programs and lunch counters are now being transferred to ZFV with the acquisition of Kimi Krippen AG. According to the cooperative's declared ambition, they will enable ZFV to take a stronger stand on socially relevant issues and develop comprehensive services for neighborhoods and families. The basis for this is companies' shared visions and values such as the compatibility of family and career and broad access to balanced nutrition.

"The step into the growth market of childcare strengthens ZFV. It opens up exciting development opportunities for us, because topics such as living, working, catering and childcare will move ever closer together in the future," says Nadja Lang, CEO of ZFV-Unternehmungen, explaining the purchase of the two companies.

In this set of values, locations and employees of the two companies are to be taken over. "We are delighted to have found a strategic partner in ZFV with whom we can develop further," says Alexandra Hochuli, co-managing director of Kimi Krippen AG, for example, about the new circumstances.
